Registration photos are close-up photos
At a ROM, most photos are taken at arm's length: signing, exchanging rings, a family portrait in daylight. There's no ballroom lighting to hide behind, so the makeup needs to look like skin, not a mask, and still read clearly on camera. My ROM looks lean soft and fresh, with the base doing the quiet work and the eyes defined just enough for photos.
Hair matters as much as makeup here. A ROM hairdo is customised to your neckline and how formal the venue is: a soft half-up for an off-shoulder top, long waves for a strapless dress, a low updo if you want a classic finish.
Registry office or venue ROM? It changes the booking
The ROM package is for ceremonies held at the registry office. If your ROM is at a garden, outdoor or reception-style venue, or you're wearing a Kua or a wedding gown, it's booked as a single wedding session instead, because the styling and time involved are closer to a wedding.
So when you enquire, tell me three things: where the ROM is, what you're wearing, and who else needs makeup. You'll get the right quote from the start, with nothing added afterwards.

Planning your ROM morning
Allow two hours for the bride and one hour for each family member getting ready with you. The groom's makeup can be added and takes about twenty minutes. Work backwards from your registry slot and leave time for traffic.
Before I arrive:
- Clean face, no makeup
- Hair washed and fully dried
- A top that unbuttons at the front
- A bright spot near a power point
If you have sensitive skin or a known allergy, tell me before the day. Brushes and tools are cleaned and sanitised between every client.
ROM now, wedding later?
